Description

He obtained his degree as a Technical Telecommunication Engineer in 1984, that of Telecommunication Engineer in 1989 and his Ph.D. as a Doctor of Telecommunication Engineering in 1998. All of his qualifications were obtained from the "Universidad Politécnica de Madrid" (UPM).

Currently he works in the Telematics and Electronics Engineering Department, DTE (formerly Electronics and Control Systems Department) at the School of Telecommunications Systems and Engineering (ETSIST), of the UPM. He began as a Lecturer in 1984, he was Associate Professor in 1999 and he became a Professor in 2018. He was Assistant Director of the Electronic and Control Systems Department from 1988 to 1992 and Director of it from 2004 to 2008. He has been Director of the ETSIST from 2008 to 2017.

In 1996 he began the Electronic and Microelectronic Design Group (GDEM) and he is its Director since then.
